Pavel Holubec, Arch., M.A.

Urban Systems Analyst

Pavel Holubec is an Urban Systems Analyst and Urban Planner with over a decade of practical experience in urban development in Central-Eastern Europe.

Next to his practical assignments, Pavel takes interest in applying theoretical foundations in urban and regional development, such as Luhmann's theory of complex social systems and Deleuze's philosophy of difference. Furthermore, he has been organizing the conference “Man, Buildings, and Urban Planning” for several years and edited the conference proceedings.

Pavel earned his PhD at Czech Technical University in Prague. Besides his engagement in strategy projects with Walloth Urban Advisors, he has been working as urban planner with Foglar Architects for 11 years. His teams won several prices in architectural and urban design competitions. Pavel holds an engineering degree.
